Calorimetry

In the study of science, a very important concept to understand is the power.  All objects have energy.  Energy can be defined as the inner work.  We can interpret the meaning of power as the ability to do work.  Another related concept is the heat energy transferred from a warmer to a cooler object.  Heat can be exothermic or endothermic.

Furthermore, in Calorimetry it is present a calorimeter.  This object is an instrument used to measure the energy changes of chemical reactions.  The amounts of energy needed in several physical changes can also be measured in a calorimeter.  Additionally, in Calorimetry it is present the concept of enthalpy.  This is a state function associated with the heat absorbed or released in a process or constant pressure.  The change in enthalpy that occurs when carried out a chemical reaction, mainly due to the energy required to break chemical bonds in the reactants and the energy produced by forming chemical bonds in the products.

Heart Failure

Heart failure is the imbalance between the heart's ability to pump blood and the body's needs.  Also, there is a chronic reduced pressure. Symptoms of heart failure usually develop over time as your heart weakens and can not pump blood your body needs. The reasons why people suffer from heart failure is that your muscle can not pump (eject) blood from the heart very well. This is called systolic heart failure.  Furthermore, the myocardium is rigid and not easily filled with blood. This is called diastolic heart failure.

To control heart failure, there are several treatments.  A simple treatment is to change the lifestyle, whether quitting smoking, limiting salt intake, lose weight and reduce the level of effort.  Another serious drug treatment, which ACE inhibitors, which make the heart work less intensity is used.  It is also beta-blockers, which is the treatment of disorders of heart rhythm.  On the other hand, they include anticoagulants, are in inhibiting blood clotting.  Finally, they include diuretics, cause the elimination of water and sodium using urine or feces.

Another treatment that helps fight heart failure is cardiac resynchronization therapy. It consists of cardiac resynchronization pacemaker.   Pacemakers are sending painless electrical impulses to the ventricles to help beat in a coordinated manner.  And finally, the treatment of cardiac surgery, which takes into account whether the case is advanced.  If heart failure worse by a weak valve, it is considered heart surgery to repair or replace the valve.  If the case is too serious, it is considered the heart transplant.

Heart failure has as consequences difficulties of physical activity, walking, running or climbing stairs.  Also, feel that you needed breathing.  This condition is related to the fact that the heart has less capacity than it should have in order to pump blood.  We must make several changes in our lifestyle and habits, such as cooking without salt, avoid alcohol, smoking, watch weight, exercise and relax.

Chemical Contraceptive Method

Earlier, I spoke of barrier contraceptive methods and some examples.  Also, I mentions two examples of barrier methods of contraception and the only contraceptive method is hundred percent safe sexual abstinence.  However, in this blog I will be talking about chemical contraceptive methods, which work with spermicides. Spermicides are chemicals that are placed in the vagina before each intercourse. It's function is to prevent the passage of sperm into the matrix, inactivating them before they enter the cervical canal.  It is important to note that the duration of effect is one hour. There are three types of spermicides: eggs (also called tablets or vaginal suppositories), creams or jellies and spray foam.

The eggs do not have immediate protection, should be placed at the bottom of the vagina and the protection lasts about an hour.  On the other hand, contraceptive foams and creams are recommended to be used with condoms so that their effectiveness is higher.  They are placed before intercourse taking immediate protection and its effectiveness lasts about an hour.

Barrier Method of Contraception

Both sex as the topic of contraception have been taboo in society durantes hundreds of years. Today, that self-consciousness has greatly decreased allowing the flow of further information. This result is of great importance as it brings from prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) to unwanted pregnancies. However, there are different types of contraception. In this blog I will discuss contraception barrier.  They are defined as those who for a physical mechanism, preventing the union of sperm and egg.

For example, one of the contraceptive is the diaphragm.  It's a cap of soft and flexible silicone a shallow arc also flexible and coated with silicon metal thereof. This contraceptive method is directed to the female gender.    The function has is to block the passage of sperm into the uterus and prevent the movement of sperm with spermicide.  It has advantages: has no effects on female hormones, is placed before intercourse and can be used during lactation.  Also it has disadvantages: difficulty in use, must be used with a spermicide does not prevent disease and increases the risk of urinary tract infections.

Another barrier method of contraception is the condom. The condom is intended for both the female gender to the male gender.  The condom acts as a barrier that prevents the passage of sperm, bacteria a
nd the HIV / AIDS virus. Therefore it is a method used to prevent pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections and HIV / AIDS.

It is very important to inform us about different contraceptive methods available.  However, no contraceptive method is one hundred percent safe. But if there is a method which we young we should practice more often. This method is sexual abstinence. The only method that is one hundred percent safe.
